Tell me more about yourself?
I am a student at Mesa College but I also attend City College. I am a hard-working student, as well as a hardworking employee. I'm punctual, reliable and honest.


What can you do for this company?
I am an honest girl, and I will be devoted to the company. I can bring my positive attitude with me everyday and assist customers in any way possible.


Why did you apply for this position?
I applied because I like interacting with people. I love helping people when it comes to community service, so I think that this position would be good for me.

Bad Customer Service

A bad customer service experience that I've had was when I went to a Beauty Supply store. The store employees were 2 Vietnamese people. I think they were husband and wife. But I was with my little brother, Edward, and my friend Quanita. We all walked in and were looking around and we noticed that the husband was following us. I asked him why he was following us.
He said, "Because your going to steal."
I said, "So just because we're black, you think we're going to steal?"
He than said that he was going to call the police. We didn't really care that he was going to call the police because we weren't in the wrong. But we just left anyway.

I think we handled the situation okay. We didn't cuss out the man or do anything disrespectful. So I think we handled it well. But as far as the Beauty Supply place, I felt that I never wanted to go there again. I think that instead of judging us because we were black, the man should have just asked us if we needed help.
  

Appreciate

After watching the video First World Problems & Miniature World, I basically got the same message from them. The message was to just stop complaining about what you don't have & just take the time to appreciate what you do. I feel like these videos were really talking to me. I tend to overlook ALL that I have sometimes. But when I really think about it , I have so much to be grateful for. One of the videos said that If i have a roof over my head, a refrigerator and a bed to sleep in than I'm richer than 75% of the world. That amazed me because I complain about bring broke ALL the time, when really I'm not broke, I'm more fortunate than I think. I think that I need to take a step back sometimes & just appreciate all that I have. And also to be the best me that I can be so that I can impact the rest of this world in some kind of way.

Kid President Pep Talk

While watching the Kid President Pep Talk video I couldn't help but to feel positive. I just liked the fact that it is a kid giving the world a pep talk. I think a pep talk is what everyone needs once in a while. That is exactly what I would tell a person if I forwarded that video to in an email.
The video affected me because I wasn't really having a good day that day, but the video made me smile and just look on the brighter side of my situation. It made me realize that sometimes life may be tough but you still have to pull through in order to reach your dreams.

Presenting

When I watched the video named "Top 10 Presentation Mistakes" and "Make a Presentation like Steve Jobs", they both informed me on how to be better at presenting.
I liked the Steve Jobs video better because it was short and to the point. It wasn't as verbose as the other one. They both made good points though. For example, they both made it clear that a speech should have an outline which is a beginning, middle and end. They also made it clear that a person should practice as much as they can and I agree.
